The spectacular Thaitown Lunar New Year wall mural and enchanting Thai lanterns return to Meriton Lane, transforming the laneway into a vibrant, immersive celebration of culture. This bold and colourful display will be on display from 3 February to 2 March 2026.

We’re proud to announce that a talented Thai artist has been selected as one of eight to be featured in the Sydney Lunar Festival Banner Gallery. This outdoor public art installation, celebrating the Year of the Horse 2026, will be on display from 12 February to 1 March 2026.
Flow and Flare by Wuko
Thai artist Wuttinun Kotisathiankul, also known as Wuko drew inspiration of his Year of the Horse Banner art from the meeting of fire and water, this work reflects a delicate balance between forces that appear opposite, yet belong together.

Across the precinct, Chinatown brings the Fire Horse to life, with a striking installation rising above Dixon Street and a glowing canopy of lanterns lighting up Hay Street. The laneways of Haymarket will come alive with a vibrant street festival, welcoming the Year of the Horse with colour, light, and celebration.
